The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board designed to be compatible with the ATmega328 microcontroller. The Uno model is different from previous microcontrollers because it does not use the USB to serial FTDI driver chip. Instead, it includes the Atmega8U2 programmed as a USB to serial converter.
