Description: 

- L7812CV Voltage Regulator provides a fixed output at +12vdc and 1.5A from an input voltage of 14-35vdc 

- With this regulator a fixed and stable voltage of 12v can be obtained from a higher input voltage 14-35v, which can be used to power all projects more easily. 

- This version comes mounted in a to-220 package with a current capacity of up to 1.5A (with heat sink).

- L7812CV Voltage Regulator has internal current limitation as well as thermal shutdown protection which makes it very robust and safe for many projects, without a heat sink being able to burn out at a consumption of 2W. 

- This regulator does not require capacitors for its stability, however in most projects you will see a pair of capacitors of at least 10μF in its input and output to eliminate any ripple that the power supply may have.
