Ads1115 Module 16 Bit I2c Adc 4 Channel With Pro Gain Amplifier For Arduino Rpi

The ADS1115 is an external digital analog converter (ADC) that we can connect to a processor like Arduino to measure analog signals.

The ADS1115 provides 4 16-bit ADC, 15 for the measurement and one last for the sign. The ADS1115 is connected by I2C, so it is easy to read. It has 4 addresses, which can be slected by connecting the ADDRESS pin.

The reason for using an ADC such as the ADS1115 is to obtain greater accuracy, in addition to freeing the processor of this load. In addition, negative voltages can be measured in certain configurations.

Arduino has internal ADC that we use when using the Arduino analog inputs. But the technical characteristics of the ADS1115 are far superior to Arduino's internal ADCs. They are therefore suitable when precision measurements are required, such as sensor readings, or when the signal can take negative values, such as current or voltage sensors.
