Integrated Circuit Tester Kt-152

New pocket size Integrated Circuit Tester tests and identifies all common DIP logic chips.
Performs pass/fail test on more than 1500 types of common 74LSXX, 74HC, CDXXXX, amplfiers, comparators, time base circuits, drive arrays, photo couplers, and LED displays with the press of a single button.
Pocket size module is 60 mm x 37 mm x 15 mm and is powered by one included AAA battery.
Tests any device in about 1/2 second and identifies the device digit-by-digit on the .36 inch tall LED display.
The integrated ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket accommodates DIP devices up to 24 pins.

Operation Instructions
Install AAA battery with polarity as indicated on the battery holder
Hold the tester with the display on bottom, raise the ZIF socket arm and place IC to be tested flush with the TOP of the ZIF socket. PIN 1 of the IC (usually the side with a notch) should be facing the BOTTOM of the ZIF socket.
Lower the arm of the ZIF socket to secure the IC under test and press the TEST button.
If the device is good, the number of the device will scroll through the display one digit at a time. If the device in bad or inserted incorrectly, "E-r-r" will display.
LEDs under test will illuminate if good.
Devices in the LS, H, AL, and 54 family of IC's such as 74LS01, 74S01, 7401, 74H01, 74ALS01, 5401, and 54LS01 will scroll display as "74-01". HC devices such as 74HC01 will display as "74HC01".
Precautions
Do not use on IC's that are in-circuit.
Do not test charged components
Replace battery when voltage is below 1.2 volts.
LED's that require more than 5 volts to light cannot be tested
